Name of the Exam: Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Exam
Age Limit:
Candidate seeking admission to the ARS Examination-2013 must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01-08-2013. In-service candidates of ICAR less than 45 years in age as on 01-08-2013 will also be eligible to appear subject to possession of prescribed qualifications. In-service candidates of the State Agricultural Universities less than 35 years in age as on 01-08-2013 will be eligible to appear for ARS Exam.
 
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline with specialization.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Preliminary and Mains Exam and viva-voce/interview.
 
Examination Fee:
Candidates need to pay Rs. 500/- for General (UR)/ Other Backward Class (OBC) and Rs. 20/- for Women/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Disability (PwD) through online by your Debit/Credit card. Please keep UTR Number provided by the Bank/Branch where you have carried out NEFT/ Challan transaction. Deposit the requisite amount with any Branch of the Syndicate Bank.

Starting Date for Commencement of Online Application: 04-11-2013.
Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 03-12-2013 till 05:00 PM.
Date of Preliminary – ARS Examination – 2013:  29-12-2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon at 33 Centres
Date of ARS – Main Examination – 2013: 16-03-2014 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM at 12 centres
